
Adventurer and cameraman Ed Wardle is flown into the Yukon wilderness in Canada and, possessing only basic provisions, begins a solitary survival challenge that will test the limits of his physical and psychological capabilities. Overwhelmed by the realization that he is on his own, Ed initially struggles to make decisions, and as the days go by, he realizes surviving in the inhospitable environment is a lot harder than he ever imagined.

In this opening episode, Ed is flown into the Canadian wilderness. As the plane disappears, he's instantly overwhelmed by the realisation that he is completely alone. He finds it hard to make decisions, but manages to set up camp. He's frightened and nervous of every sound and movement around him. As the days go by, it dawns on Ed that the escapist dream is a lot harder than he ever imagined.

Ed takes on the daily struggles as he learns to set up camp, hunt and gather food, build a shelter and deal with living alone.
