Overview
Marie, a brilliant theology student, returns to see her brother, who is a pastor in Valdeyron in the Cévennes. But he has just died suddenly. While she did not share her brother's religious convictions at all, she decided to break up with her American fiancé and settle in the Cévennes, where she rediscovered the faith and became a pastor in her turn, gradually being accepted by a sometimes harsh and reluctant population.
