Overview
Paola Pavese (Vittoria Puccini) is a young lawyer married to the police commissioner Marco D'Elia (Filippo Nigro); during her mother Emma's surgery, Paola meets the attractive doctor Giulio Guidi (Daniele Pecci) and starts a relationship with him. The husband, who is investigating the disappearance (and then death) of Laura Romano, Dr. Guidi's young assistant, discovers that his wife is the doctor's lover. It will soon be known that the young Romano was Guidi's ex-lover and was pregnant, while the doctor's wife, Benedetta, is also poisoned and dies. The investigators' attention then focused on Paola Pavese, who had been seen leaving Guidi's wife's house distraught. The woman's legal defense is taken on by the lawyer who owns her firm (Massimo Wertmüller), who is linked by economic interests to the Guidi family and who seems not very interested in proving the innocence of his client...
