In the late 1970s, Zhao, Ye and Peng lived in a small house in a small town in the south. Zhao Fangyuan and his wife Tang Miaoxiang raised five children, Zhao Jiaren, Zhao Jiahui, Zhao Jiaxin, Zhao Jiayi, and Zhao Jiahao. The family lived a poor but warm life. Zhao Fangyuan was entrusted by his father to help Mr. Ye preserve a painting. In an accident, in order to save Jiaren's fiancée Na Hong, the ancient paintings fell into the hands of Peng Shizhong. Peng Shizhong used this to continuously blackmail Lao Zhao, and even his daughter Peng Xinhua joined in, thus breaking up the love between Zhao Jiahui and Ouyang. Ye Wenxiang, the son of Ye Lao, has always been afraid of his family background and refused to admit that the ancient paintings were related to him. After the reform and opening up, after he learned the true value of the ancient paintings, he forced Zhao Fangyuan to return the ancient paintings through hard and soft tactics. In order to keep his father's promise, Zhao Fangyuan started a long battle with the Peng family. Around the ancient paintings, the sons and daughters of the three families also started their own entangled love and hatred.
