
The Teiko Middle School Basketball Team. The class that produced three perfect seasons in a row, with five once-in-a generation players, called "The Generation of Miracles." There was another player who all of them respected... A legendary 6th player. An up-and-coming power player, Taiga Kagami, is just back from America. When he comes to Seirin High School, he meets the super-ordinary boy, Tetsuya Kuroko. Kagami is shocked to find that Kuroko isn't good at basketball, in fact, he's bad! And he's so plain that he's impossible to see. But Kuroko's plainness lets him pass the ball around without the other team noticing him, and he's none other than the sixth member of the Miracle Generation. Kuroko makes a pact with Kagami to defeat the other members of the Miracle Generation, who have all played basketball at other schools. A battle of light (Kagami) and shadow (Kuroko) begins!

While recruiting for the basketball club, the Seirin Private High school has managed to pick up some impressive players; a power house, former American player, and a supporting member of the "Generation of Miracles".

Before anyone can become an official member of the Basketball Club, they first must do display courage. Afterwards, a surprising guest appears on the school grounds with a shocking offer.

Seirin basketball club is playing a practice game at Kaijō High School, the school where Kise attends. After a display of power from Kagami, it forces the Kaijō coach to take Seirin serious.

After Kuroko gets injured in the second quarter during the match the 2nd year players have to show their team chemistry with shooting and defense.

The Seirin team celebrates with steak; Kise asks Kuroko why he left the Junior High school team after they won the championship; Kagami, Kise, and Kuroko face some thugs in a street ball match.

The Interhigh championship has started with Seirin vs Shinkyō.

After crushing their next few opponents, the team is taken to watch a Shūtoku match. Shūtoku is one of the Three Kings of Tokyo.

Seirin takes on Seihō, a squad built around an invincible defense.

The match against Seihō continues.

After a last second win against Seihō, Seirin now has to face Shūtoku in the tournament.

The match against Shūtoku continues but it seems like an impossible task.

Seirin starts to find its footing in the match against Shūtoku through Kagami's strong leaps.

In the final seconds of the game one of the teams manages to come out on top and advances to the preliminaries final league.

After winning the tournament, Kuroko meets Kise and Midorima at the restaurant. Later, Kuroko finds a dog that he adopts and that the team names Tetsuya #2.

The Interhigh preliminaries final league begin with Tōō vs. Seirin as the first match.

Tōō High gets out to an early lead as the match continues.

During halftime, Seirin decides they must bench Kuroko so he can regain some strength, forcing Kagami and Aomine into a one-on-one battle.

Kuroko is subbed back in and Seirin slowly cuts the lead down. However, Kagami has avoided using his injured leg, and now his good one is about to collapse and he is benched.

Since Kagami is benched for the next two matches due to leg damage and the weak team spirit after the devestating loss against Tōō High, Seirin loses both following games and is knocked out of the tournament.

Teppei challenges Kagami to a one-one-one match for the right to become the Ace for Seirin on the way to the Winter Cup. The next day Seirin begins the first of 3 consecutive days on practice matches so each player can be evaluated and placed on a specific training regiment during the summer.

The team arrives at a training camp at the beach where they will practice for the next two weeks.

In the training camp Kagami realizes he must learn to win aerial battles in order to beat The Generation of Miracles, and Kuroko learns he must learn to drive with the ball with no presence in order to surpass the Generation of Miracles.

The quarterfinal match of the Interhigh tournament: Tōō Academy vs. Kaijō featuring Aomine vs. Kise.

The match Tōō Academy vs. Kaijō continues and Kise decides to copy Aomine but this will take time due to the difference in skill.

The winner of the match Tōō Academy vs. Kaijō is decided. After the game Kagami and Kuroko are determined to work hard to develop their new style of basketball.

Seirin's first years participate in a street basketball tournament where they meet Tatsuya Himuro and Atsushi Murasakibara from Yōsen High.

The street ball game gets called off due to heavy rain. Later on, Kuroko shows Momoi his newest technique which, if refined well, might lead to no one ever being able to stop him.

The Winter Cup preliminaries starts with Seirin vs. Josei High.

After defeating Yōsen High, Seirin is interviewed for Basketball Monthly. The final quarterfinal will feature a showdown between Kise and Haizaki, with the winner moving on to face Seirin in the semifinals.

Kise and Haizaki face each other head-to-head for the right to advance to face Seirin.

Even Kise, who has a variety of moves thanks to his Copy skill, starts to run out of stock moves as the game progresses. Furthermore, the fierce game pace puts Kise's leg close to its limit.

Due to the rush of the matches, there is no overtime, hence the match ends with a tie. Flashback to 1 year ago, the story goes on about the formation of Seirin's basketball club.

In the flashback Seirin faces the unfair Kirisaki Daiichi High.

Back in the present Seirin faces Kirisaki Daiichi once again. As usual, Kirisaki Daiichi plays dirty, on offense and defense, trying to injure the opposing players.

The match against Kirisaki Daiichi continues.

Seirin managed to break free of Kirisaki Daiichi's 'spider web'. However, the game is still not over with Hanamiya having another card up his sleeves. Will Seirin still get their berth at the Winter Cup or is it over for them?

After the winter cup prelimenaries, Seirin are relaxing at a hot spring as Tōō Academy suddenly shows up.

Before the Winter Cup starts, Akashi summons the rest of the Generation of Miracles, along with Kuroko. The highly anticipated match between Seirin and Tōō Academy starts.

Seirin managed to keep on pace with Tōō Academy. However, things just don't go right when Kuroko has both his moves being stopped consecutively by Aomine.Will Seirin find a way to make a comeback in this game?

Only down by 2, Seirin seem to be able to keep pace with Tōō Academy. However the match is far from over and Seirin faces a new problem.

The intense match against Tōō Academy continues.

The battle between the Aces of their teams, Aomine and Kagami, will decide the outcome of the match.

After the tough and close win over Tōō, Kagami invites the team to his house. The Seirin team then goes to watch the Winter Cup match between Onita and Shutoku.

The second round of the Winter Cup starts with Seirin vs. Nakamiya South and Seirin advances to the quarter final where they will face Yōsen.

Still unable to score against the Yōsen team, Seirin resort to Kuroko taking shots and are back on track in the game.

The thrilling match against Yōsen continues.

With Murasakibara finally appearing on the offensive side, Seirin is slowly losing hope of having the chance to win against Yōsen and move onto the Finals.

The Seirin players face tough times scoring any points, however, Kagami's spirit to win gets him into the Zone once again.

In the last minute of the fourth quarter it is decided which team enters the semifinals.

The final four of Winter Cup has finally been decided: Rakuzan, Shutoku, Seirin, and Kaijo. However, on the day of the semi-finals, Kuroko and Kagami both realized their basketball shoes were broken.

The first semifinal match is between Shutoku and Rakuzan. The offense and defense are both at high levels, creating a see-saw game, but the tides shift in the second quarter.

The first semifinal match continues and Akashi performs an ankle break on Midorima.

Rakuzan wins with the score of 86 - 70 against Shūtoku and Seirin warms up for their match.

The Seirin-Kaijo game finally begins.

With the defense and offense reversed now, Seirin goes on the offensive.

Kagami shows extraordinary growth and treats the Kaijo double-team as if it is nothing, overwhelming them as their ace player Kise remains on the bench. Kaijo stays determined to stay within reach of Seirin, but they cannot stop the momentum that favors Seirin and start to gradually fall behind.

Kaijo fiercely fights back with the return of their ace player Kise. The crowd goes wild from their all-out efforts to make a comeback and all start to cheer only for Kaijo.

Seirin begins the counter attack using their run-and-gun method, suprising the Kaijo players and the audience.






Kagami dangerously continues using up his stamina in the zone, Riko swaps Kuroko for Mitobe so that Kagami can focus on offence.

Seirin subs in first-year Furihata to lure Rakuzan, but he quickly gets tired after facing Akashi.

The third quarter starts with Kuroko remaining on the sidelines.
