It tells the story of Du Xiaoyue, who changed her name to Ke Yun and sang in a theater troupe in order to reverse the case of her husband He Wenyuan, and returned to the capital. Ji Xiaolan and Qianlong, who were kept in the dark at first, gradually saw some clues. He Shen was afraid that what happened in Gansu would be exposed, so he tried every means to silence Ke Yun; when he was assassinating Ke Yun, Qianlong suddenly came to the rescue and took Ke Yun to the palace. In the end, Ke Yun was recognized as his goddaughter by the empress dowager. In order to search for evidence, Ke Yun stayed in the He Mansion. However, he accidentally fell into He Shen's plot, exposed his identity, and was imprisoned by Qianlong. Ji Xiaolan tricked Qianlong into releasing Du Xiaoyue. Xiaoyue was released from prison and ran to Gansu after being instructed by Ji Xiaolan.
