
Overview
After the death of Emperor Shunzhi, Xuan Ye (played by Deng Chao), driven by the Empress Dowager Xiaozhuang (played by Pan Hong), overthrew Prince Kang who was supposed to ascend the throne, inherited the throne, and changed the reign of Emperor Kangxi. Afterwards, some Manchu ministers were dissatisfied with the Manchu-Han policy implemented by Kangxi and attempted to cause trouble while its foundation was not yet stable.
