1930s, Western Hunan. The two daughters of the Ye family, Zixuan and Zitong, have been engaged since childhood. Zixuan's husband's Pan family is declining day by day, leaving Pan Yongqing alone at home studying hard, hoping to get ahead. The Xu family, who is engaged to Zitong, has a booming business and has become the leader of the eight major oil companies. The Ye family was in decline, and her mother, Mo Yunhua, did not want her daughter to suffer, so she hired two red sedan chairs to marry her daughter off.
