"Qin Shihuang and Afangnu", also known as "Qinshihuang's Lover", is adapted from the historical novel "Afang Palace". It is directed by Li Zuonan and stars Zhao Yazhi and Liu Dekai. The play tells the love story between Qin Shihuang and Afang, a female medicine collector. The prince of Qin Ying Zheng (played by Liu Dekai) was a hostage in Handan of Zhao State when he was a child, and lived a bitter life. The beautiful and kind herb collector Xia Yufang (played by Zhao Yazhi) took great care of Ying Zheng, and the two were childhood sweethearts, and they spent a period of time like this. After growing up, Ying Zheng returned to China and inherited the throne. Afang also came to Qin with his father, and the two met again in Qin. Although Ying Zheng wanted to make Afang the queen, but the real power was in the hands of Prime Minister Lu Buwei (played by Gu Zheng) and his mother (played by Li Xin), so he could not do so. Faced with the threats from the other six countries, Ying Zheng had to take a series of measures, so that Qin's strong soldiers and horses finally succeeded in annexing the six countries. Even Afang's home country, Zhao, fell. Faced with the hatred of the country and the family, Afang's love for Ying Zheng was shaken.
