Overview
The protagonist Shi Potian has no name or surname since he was a child. He lives in a remote place on an unknown barren mountain with a woman he thought was his mother. The woman called him a son of a bitch, and he thought that was his own name. The woman had a weird temper and beat and scolded him at every turn, and he was used to it. He learned how to chop wood, cook and other household chores since he was a child, but he didn't know a word of Chinese characters, and he knew nothing about worldly affairs and people's hearts. One day the woman suddenly disappeared, and the dog named "Huang" that he had accompanied since childhood also disappeared, so he went out to look for her everywhere. As a result, neither the man nor the dog was found, but he himself got lost.
