Overview
In a small place called Yinling in the northeast, a local folk art troupe is brewing a new reform. Affected by the market, the art troupe, with mediocre operating conditions and no performances, was determined to break the iron rice bowl and began to transform into an enterprise, establishing the Yinling City Folk Art Performance Company. A major move after the transformation was to divert the actors from the original two teams. The first team led by Hao Jun was determined to be retained because of its many performances and good results, while the second team, which had few performances and idle personnel, was in a particularly dangerous situation. The captain of the second team, You Renyou (played by Tang Jianjun) and the deputy captain Yu Daining (played by Yu Yuexian), finally got Yue Tuan (played by Wang Xiaobao) to agree, and the second team was able to temporarily survive. However, in order to survive, they must find ways to raise various performances. After that, the special team brought together Qi Dapeng (played by Xiao Shenyang), Wang Dan (played by Bi Chang), as well as Chen Laoji (played by Cheng Ye) and Zhou Yuanyuan (played by Chen Shuang) who were kicked out of the first team, and began a self-reliant acting journey...
