Overview
The Cao and Bai families have been feuding for centuries. It is said that the ancestors of the Cao family were buried with the boys and girls of the Bai family, while the Bai family sought wealth and killed the Cao family. Today, Caojiatun is led by Grandma Cao (played by Shen Hairong), while Bai Fengzhuang is led by Mr. Bai (played by Che Xuan). The two sides compete fiercely in business. The Bai family has grown in power and annexed many Cao family stores. Uncle Cao (played by Li Liansheng) is therefore eyeing Grandma Cao's position as the head of the family. On the other side, the Cao and Bai families are quarreling with each other, and Mayor Zhu (played by Yue Yaoli) is a fisherman who has benefited from it and travels between the two families for personal gain. Cao Dingwen (played by Chiao Enjun), the only son of the fourth generation of the Cao family, returns to his hometown after graduation and reunites with Bai Xiaofeng (played by Gong Ci'en), the fourth miss of the Bai family who was injured by him in the past.
