Overview
The story takes place in 1943, when the Sino-Japanese War was at its most critical period. Wang's traitorous high-level officials caused trouble in Xiaoqiang. Li Shiqun, commander of the puppet Qingxiang Committee and head of the investigation department, was poisoned by the Japanese. Dai Suichang, his trusted secretary and director, escaped by chance and prepared to join the Chongqing National Government. In view of the fact that Dai has a large number of Japanese and high-level secrets of Wang's puppet government, the CCP dispatched special security section chief Shen Yingjie (played by Wu Jian) to assist the Suzhou underground military team in trying to capture Dai Suichang (played by Zhu Hui) on the way. At the same time, Chongqing, especially the forces colluding with the Wang Puppet Government, would never allow such a key figure to fall into the hands of the Japanese or the Chinese Communist Party. They sent Su City Commissioner Gu Weimin, codenamed Crow, to meet Dai Suichang. In addition, the Japanese and Wang Puppet regime moved at every opportunity.
