"New Go Boy" tells the story of a young chess player, Jiang Liu'er, in the turbulent Ming Dynasty. In order to stabilize the country and protect the people from the ravages of war, he had to participate as a Go player in a desperate battle between the Ming Emperor and King You to fight for the world. This is a cartoon about the youth, passion, inspiration and love of chess players and warriors. The entire story takes the chess world and martial arts world of the Ming Dynasty as the background, and uses exaggerated animation elements to show the perseverance and fighting spirit of the Ming Dynasty chess players and warriors on the Go and martial arts fields. A confrontation between good and evil that is "clearly compared to Go, darkly compared to swords and guns" between the two camps of Xiao Minghuang, Jiang Liu'er and others, who strive to make the country strong and the people live and work in peace and contentment; and Youwang, the chess ghost king and others, who aim to resort to militarism and extortionate expropriation to put the people in dire straits, with an impact like a spark hitting the earth.
