Zheng Shixian (played by Feng Shaofeng), a wealthy son of Xiamen, fell in love with the embroidery girl Shuhua (played by Tong Liya). He eloped to Taiwan with Shuhua and gave birth to a pair of children - Xiaojun (played by Lu Ziyi) and Xiaojie (played by Sun Tianyu). Due to pressure from his family, he returned to his hometown. In order to save the Zheng family's property, he had no choice but to marry Luo Meifang (played by Sui Junbo), a well-matched rich girl. Shu Hua died young, and due to lack of livelihood, Xiaojun took his younger brother to find his biological father who was far away in Xiamen. Two lonely children met all kinds of people in Xiamen. With their kindness and bravery, they saved the day from danger time and time again and won everyone's love. But they passed by their biological father again and again. By chance, Xiaojun entered the Zheng family through the embroidery left by his mother, and realized that his father Zheng Shixian (played by Kou Shixun) was forcibly brought back to Xiamen by his father, and had no choice but to stay in Xiamen under Luo Meifang's various designs.
