Overview
This play uses an original narrative technique that seems light on the surface but has a turbulent undercurrent to tell the story of the dilemma faced by a county party secretary in a short period of his life. Zhao Changlin, secretary of the county party committee of a national-level poverty-stricken county in the Mainland, encountered the biggest dilemma in his career and life this summer: the municipal party committee required the county to streamline cadres, but nepotism in all aspects made it difficult for him; the anti-dumping caused heavy losses to farmers who signed purchase and sales contracts with the county, and they came to make troubles one after another; his daughter Xiaoyun was seriously ill, and the huge medical expenses seemed to be too much for the family to bear; his son Xiaohai mixed with the bad boys in society and has not been home for a long time...
