Overview
The big man and the young man filled the sliding pole with opium and tried to smuggle it across the country overnight, but they were captured by the Burmese "Bian Da". The drifter spent all his money and was forced to work as a waiter in a thatched inn with only food but no wages. He met the Dazu woman and the Flower Drum Girl who escaped from the soldiers, and developed a vague love for the Flower Drum Girl. But after the weather improved, Dazu Woman and Huagu Woman continued to search for their lost relatives. In the evening, an Englishman who went to the border to check the road went to the inn to stay overnight. He made an unreasonable request for a woman to stay with him, and got into a fight with the drifter and the boss. During the fight, the inn was destroyed by fire, and the drifter began wandering aimlessly again. He met the married flower-drum girl and the big man in the blind man's inn, and the drifter and the young man embarked on their way home.
