Overview
Alejo is a widowed violinist whose mother-in-law, Doña Encarna, keeps threatening him by sending him telegrams every month. When she remarries, her new mother-in-law makes her life miserable. One day the spirit of Doña Encarna appears to him, who assures him that she has died and, although she continues to hate him, she is now willing to help him to obtain his forgiveness. Alejo, scared, confirms the death of his first mother-in-law and suddenly everything starts to go well for him, until he starts to get into various troubles and ends up asking Mrs. Encarna not to help him anymore.
