Akiko Nakai, the director-general of the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, is suspected of being involved as her superior in a fraudulent certificate issuance incident that occurred in her former department at the urging of a member of the Diet. He was supposed to be questioned voluntarily, but when he turned himself in, the Special Investigation Department of the Osaka District Public Prosecutors Office executed an arrest warrant and ended up incarcerating him at the Osaka Detention Center. A confrontation with the special investigation department prosecutor who appeals the bail request and writes in the record what he did not say, trying to make it seem like he admitted to the charges. The story depicts the 465 days it took for Akiko, who was released on bail, to be acquitted in court with the support of her husband, who works as a councilor in the same ministry, her two daughters, and her lawyer.
